My name is Gregory Vaal. I began my career in the helping professions as a paramedic, progressing from Emergency Medical Responder to Advanced Care Paramedic. I later worked as a 911 ambulance call-taker and dispatcher, supporting people during moments of crisis.
Alongside my emergency services career, I served in pastoral ministry and as the pastor of a church and a volunteer chaplain in hospitals and seniors’ care settings. These experiences shaped my understanding of trauma, resilience, and the importance of compassionate support.
I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and am a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.
My counselling approach is integrative and tailored to each client’s needs, drawing primarily from ACT, CBT, DBT, Attachment-Based Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy to support meaningful and lasting change.
